Ken Nuernberger // Partner

Kenneth Nuernberger has been involved in development consulting and real estate development since 1979.  In 1987, Nuernberger formed his own company: The Siedlund Company, and in 2001 he partnered with Michele Duffe to form ND Consulting Group.

Mr. Nuernberger is actively involved in all aspects of NDCG, and with his companies has helped develop over 2,000 housing units, including, but not limited to, housing for people with disabilities, loft apartments, for sale single family homes, affordable assisted living for the elderly, and commercial office and strip retail centers.

In addition to his business activities, Mr. Nuernberger is actively involved in the community including forming St. Margaret’s Housing Corporation and serving as a Member of the Heritage and Urban Design Commission (now known as Cultural Resources), and as a Board Member of…

Michele Duffe // Partner

Michele Duffe has been actively involved in urban real estate for 25 years.  Ms. Duffe has served as the Executive Director of the City of St. Louis’ Land Reutilization Authority and the St. Louis Development Corporation’s Real Estate Division.  In 1998 Ms. Duffe joined The Siedlund Company and also formed Duffe-Nuernberger Realty with Kenneth Nuernberger.  In 2001 Ms. Duffe partnered with Mr. Nuernberger in the formation of ND Consulting Group.

During her service for the City of St. Louis, Ms. Duffe participated in the marketing and maintenance of over 12,000 tax foreclosed properties, as well as special projects such as the buyout of homes damaged by the 1993 floods, design and legislation of Missouri’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program, and an effort to clean up vacant lots throughout the City of St. Louis.

Ms. Duffe also has extensive real estate brokerage experience, including being a member of the both the Commercial Information Exchange and the Multiple Listing Service.  She is also a certified member of the CCIM, a commercial brokerage designation, and GRI, a residential brokerage designation.  Since forming Duffe-Nuernberger…

Cynthia Duffe // Partner

Cynthia Duffe joined ND Consulting Group in 2006 to enhance and expand upon NDCG’s long-time commitment to developing superior affordable housing for all.  She became a Partner in 2013. Cynthia provides comprehensive finance and housing development consulting to non-profit organizations serving low-income special needs populations, including persons with disabilities, HIV/AIDS and senior citizens. Cynthia also works with both non-profit and for profit developers making use of state and federal Historic Preservation and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit financing, to build affordable, and in most cases, service-enriched housing for a variety of populations.

Eric McMahon // Senior Project Manager

Eric McMahon joined NDCG in 2008 and specializes in financial structuring and project management.  Eric prepares financial projections and coordinates debt and equity for all NDCG projects.  Once financing is achieved, he is responsible for overseeing physical construction and disbursements.  Eric is actively involved in the construction process from early planning and budget development through project completion.

Eric has worked on projects utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Historic Preservation Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds, HUD financing, Tax Increment Financing (TIF), Brownfield Remediation Tax Credits and Tax Abatement.

Mary Nagel // Senior Project Manager

Mary Nagel joined the ND Consulting/Siedlund team in 1992, and specializes in non-profit housing development.  She served as administrator for a historic tax credit investment firm until 2010.  Mary is experienced in construction administration and rehabilitation projects, having spent eight years at the St. Louis Community Development Agency, where she administered the City’s multi-family housing production program.

Mary holds a B.S. degree in Housing and Interior Design from the University of Missouri, with an emphasis on housing production.  She is active in her neighborhood and church community, Mary is a certified educator for the Parents as Teachers program and other parenting programs.

Sam Nuernberger // Associate Project Manager

Sam Nuernberger joined the NDCG Team in 2013, when she moved back to St. Louis after living in neighboring Midwest cities: Chicago and Kansas City. While in Chicago, Sam worked as a Media Buyer for a large advertising firm. She planned quarterly and annual advertising campaigns for the Samsung and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association accounts. She also spearheaded a $4.25 million print campaign for The American Egg Board.

While living in Kansas, Sam worked with a team of cardiologists to develop and market CardioTabs health supplements. She led the team’s social media footprint and handled numerous on-site sales initiatives. Sam graduated from the University of Kansas’ school of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Susan Tartanian // Controller

Susan Tartanian joined NDCG in 2013.  As controller she is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial analysis for the NDCG family of companies.  For the past 30 years she has worked for a variety of St. Louis not-for-profits, most notably as Chief Financial Officer at Life Skills Foundation for 10 years.

Susan moved to St. Louis in 1976 in time for the Bicentennial and has made it her home ever since.  She received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Washington University.  Susan served six years as a board member at Shalom House, a shelter for chronically homeless women, and she continues to be…
